Kenneth C. Smith, age 97 of Terre Haute died Thursday, March 25, 2021 in the Wyndmoor Senior Living.  He was born September 3, 1923 in Vigo County, Indiana to Ira Smith and Cecil (Gardner) Smith.  His wife Betty died March 14, 1989.  He was retired from the Tribune Star in 1988.  Survivors include two sons, Randy Smith (Brenda) of Hendersonville, TN, Ronnie Smith of Terre Haute, two daughters Becky McGrannahan (Mark) of Rockville, Kim Roan of Terre Haute, grandchildren Jackie Smith, Brian Smith (Jennifer), Jodi Smith, Jared Smith, Brad McGrannahan (Amanda), Justin McGrannahan (Amber), Jamie Boyer (Jeff), Kailee Burdick (Kyle), Janee Trueblood ( Dylan) , Caden Smith, fifteen great-grandchildren Jayden, Oriah, Trenton, Brevin, Kylen, Cole, Bree, Makayla, Brynlee, Gage, A.J., Ava, Aubrie, Miles, Finlee, several nieces and nephews.  Special longtime companion Violet Thompson.  He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, son Kenny, son-in-law John Roan, brothers Ira, Howard and one sister Mildred Atterson.
