Kenneth E. Curley left to meet his Maker October 27, 2014. He was a lifetime resident of Terre Haute, IN. He was born to Joseph A. Curley and Florence W. Farley-Curley on September 1, 1928. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Lawrence, Jerry, Joseph, and sisters Shirley Mimms and Alice Huebel. He is survived by his wife Helen D. Prentice Curley, brother Edward Curley, sisters Barbara Pfieffer, Mary McCracken and five daughters Caren and Woodrow Harden, Connie and Gary Loudermilk, Paul and Cathy Atterson, Debbie Watson, and Lori and Dean Adams who all loved him dearly. He was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren who brought him so much joy. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his nephews and loved to spend time on the farm with his cousin Bob Curley. His interests included fishing, gardening, hunting, and bee keeping. Kenneth was a Terre Haute City Policeman for 30 years. He was proud that his nephew Tim Curley and grandson Eric Atterson had followed in his footsteps. He is a member of Fraternal Order of Police and a World War II Veteran. Kenneth said "When I go all I want said about me is I had a good life and I caught a lot of fish". Visititation will be at DeBaun Springhill Funeral Home on Thursday, October 30, 2014, from 3 – 6 p.m. with memorial service to follow. VWF # 972 will give their memorial at 5:30. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 85. Online condolences can be offered at www.debaunfuneralhomes.com
