Obituary

Kelly Ann Camp, 59, of Terre Haute, Indiana went home to be with Jesus in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, April 25, 2026, after bravely fighting Breast Cancer. She was born in West Terre Haute, IN on August 1, 1966, to Paul Lee Wyrick, Sr. and Barbara Kay (Spencer) Wyrick. While her time here feels far too short for those who loved her, the impact she made will last forever. Her strength, faith, and love for her family and to others were evident to all who knew her.

Kelly was a woman of deep faith who loved Jesus wholeheartedly, and her life reflected that love through kindness, compassion, and unwavering grace. Even in the hardest moments, she held onto her faith and showed what it means to trust God fully.

She was a devoted wife to her husband, Randy Camp, of 41 years whom she married on August 16, 1984; and a loving mother to her children, Justin and Lynsey. While she cherished her entire family, nothing brought her more joy than her grandchildren, who were truly the light of her life. Spending time with them was her greatest joy.

Kelly graduated from West Vigo High School in 1984 and went on to attend Indiana State University and received an Associate of Science Degree for Nursing in 1994. For 30 years, Kelly faithfully served at Riley Elementary, where she made a lasting impact on countless students and her coworkers. Her dedication, warm spirit, and caring heart left a legacy that will not be forgotten.

Outside of work, Kelly found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved working in her yard and going to garage sales; she was always on the hunt for a good find. She loved her dogs and horses, especially Remi and Ringo and treated them like her family. She had a soft place in her heart for children. She appreciated the simple moments, laughter, and being surrounded by the people she loved the most.

If you knew Kelly, you knew warmth. You knew love. You knew someone who would show up for you, pray for you, and care deeply about your life.

She will be missed beyond words, but there is peace in knowing she is whole, healed, and in the presence of our Lord and Savior, whom she loved so much.

Kelly is survived by her loving husband, Randy Camp; their two children: Justin Camp (Stacey) and Lynsey Evans (Casey); seven grandchildren: Ali Evans, Kassie Evans, Martin Evans, Casen Evans, Easton Camp, Haisley Camp, Benjamin Camp; her mother, Barbara (Spencer) Wyrick; her siblings; Paul Wyrick (Kate), Randy Wyrick (Robin), Paula Kaye (Wyrick) Smith; mother in law, Lila (Ward) Camp, and Sister in law, Cathy (Camp) Bishop, Stepson Casey Camp and several nieces and nephews.

Kelly was preceded in death by her father, Paul Wyrick, Sr.

Her legacy lives on in her family, in her grandchildren, and in every life she touched.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at DeBaun Springhill Chapel. A second visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026 at Union Christian Church from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Funeral Service will begin at the church at 2:00 p.m. with Pastors and dear friends, Steve Marlow and Rod Maris officiating. Burial to follow at Twin Groves Cemetery.
