Kathy Sue Furr was born in Terre Haute on June 19, 1954, the daughter of Terry R. Furr and Kathryn Newport Furr. She graduated from Terre Haute South Vigo High School in 1972. She was a long-time employee of Meis Plaza North and Elder-Beerman at Honey Creek Mall, as well as Kmart. She was a member of Maryland Community Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sister Debra (Peter) Plastrik, Beaver Island, Michigan; her brother Bruce (Susan) Furr, Ann Arbor, Michigan; her sister Donna Hoots, Honolulu, Hawaii; and brother David Furr, Terre Haute; and nieces and nephews Jesse Furr, Matt Hoots, Sarah Furr Bennett; David Plastrik, Mary Hoots, Steven Plastrik and Jocelyn Furr. ptHoo   ,,,,

She was a loving sister and daughter, devoting many years to caring for her mother after her father's death. She was a wonderful aunt, always willing to play board games, visit parks and listen to budding musicians.

The family will be served by DeBaun Funeral Home. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park.
