Kathy Ann Dickens, 65, of Terre Haute passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021.  She was born on October 23, 1955 in Terre Haute to Russ and Helen Bryant.  Kathy immediately brought joy and laughter into the world.  She went on to graduate from Terre Haute North Vigo School in 1975.

In 1974, she met James Dickens ad the two were inseparable from that point on.  Kathy and James were married over 40 years, had three sons, Jason, Eric, and Tyler, as well as ten grandchildren.

Kathy worked for Vigo County Head Start as a bus driver for many years and also worked for the City of Terre Haute since 2014.  Most of all Kathy was a fiercely dedicated mom and grandmother to her children and grandchildren.  Family came first and was above all else to Kathy, a value she instilled in all those around her.  She shared her love for music with her family and they attended many concerts.  The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, Russ and Helen Bryant and her brother Ron "Fish" Day.  She is survived by her loving husband James, sons Jason, Eric, and Tyler, grandchildren Kelsey, Ashley, Summer, Autumn, Kaitlyn, Eric, Jr., Gage, Chasity, Valerie, Cali, and Colson; sister Penny Ratts (Marvin) and brother Steve Day, and several nieces and nephews.  She also leaves behind special friends Joe and Sherry Davidson.

Visitation will be held Sunday, September 19, 2021 at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  The family requests that masks be worn when visiting the funeral home and to practice social distancing.  Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 20, 2021 at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 a.m.  Online condolences may be made to www.debaunfuneralhomes.com.
