Kathleen Anne Logan, 80, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away Thursday July 16, 2026. Kathleen was born January 18, 1946 to Herschel and Bertha “Betty” (Jackson) Schaffer.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Charles Logan, Jr, grandmother Lora Badger who had a big part in raising her, her parents, grandson Steven Troy Logan and granddaughter Erin Rene Vermillion.

She is survived by her older sister Carol Coleman; her 3 children, Katrina Logan, Charles Logan III (Tonna), Katy Long (Joe); 5 grandchildren, James Mitchell Curtis (Robyn), Trevor Logan, Mallory Boling (Nick Loyd), Haley Marina-Logan (David Holt), Chace Logan (Grace); 4 step-grandchildren, Trenton Hinkle, Randi Milam, Kensi Rader, Sammy Cooper and 6 great grandchildren.

Kathleen graduated from Wiley High School in 1963. Kathleen married Charles Logan, Jr on November 2, 1964. Kathleen was a wonderful and loving wife, dedicated homemaker and an amazing mother to her three children. She was very proud of her children and was always there for them. She made her children’s birthday cupcakes for their school birthday parties, went to all of the many field trips, sporting and school events over the years. Her children have some wonderful memories of her; Katrina has fun memories of the evening scrabble games that took place at the kitchen table. Chuck remembers her chasing him around the backyard with a wooden spoon and flyswatter yelling “wait ‘til your dad gets home!” and we all remember the banging of pots and pans together as his high school alarm clock. Katy remembers mom letting her iron handkerchiefs and sitting on the kitchen table folding wash clothes while watching Days of Our Lives (Katy still watches it to this day). Kathleen always made Christmas’ special. It just wasn’t Christmas without her special butter cookies and fudge. Her children enjoyed helping decorate the cookies.. Family and friends always looked forward to receiving them as gifts.

Kathleen had several hobbies. She loved to read, took art classes, enjoyed drawing and painting, bowling, and she had a huge collection of DVDs; all cataloged systematically. Kathleen was a woman of Faith, she attended The Journey Church. She will be incredibly missed by everyone who knew her.

Visitation will be held Thursday July 23, 2026 from 4-7pm at DeBaun Springhill Chapel located at 85 E Springhill Drive, Terre Haute.
