Kathern May Pohlman, 82, of Terre Haute passed away Friday August 19, 2022 in Union Hospital. She worked for over 25 years at Mosaic. Kathern was born May 1, 1940 in Taylorville, Indiana to Clyde and Tilli Smith. She is survived by her husband of 67 years and love of her life, Theodore Pohlman III. Kathern and Theodore started dating in the third grade and she has always effectually called him "Honey Bun"; daughters, Penny Sue Murphy (Steve), Tammy Jo Pohlman, Robin Lea Pohlman (Doug Porter), and Brenda Kay Pohlman; sons, Theodore "Yogi" Pohlman IV (Joan) and Walter Robert "Wally" Pohlman (Karen Handy); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren and two sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters. Kathern enjoyed watching her birds, mowing the grass, baking pies, mushroom hunting and she loved traveling to Florida to visit family. She was a wonderful caregiver, who cared about everyone and she never met a stranger. Visitation will be Monday August 22, 2022 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services at 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will follow in New Harmony Cemetery.
