Karen Elaine Eldridge, 80, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born on November 28, 1942 in Sullivan to Richard Lucas and Melissa (Watson) Lucas. Karen married Harold "Randy" Eldridge on January 29, 1961.

Karen was a 1960 graduate of North Central High School. She was a member of the Farmersburg Methodist Church. Karen worked at Sears Roebuck & Co. and Blocks Tax Service, and she was also the co-owner and bookkeeper for Eldridge Transmission Service. She was also involved with Terre Haute Business Women, Farmersburg OES as the Worthy Matron, and Delta Theta Tau. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, collecting Coca-Cola items, and visiting family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, granddaughter Randi Leanne, sisters Sharon Copeland (Harry), Barbara Nesbit, and Sandra Small (Phil); brother Rick Lucas (Star), and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by both parents, son Greg, and brother-in-law Dave Nesbit.

A visitation will be held on October 14, 2023 from 1 pm to 2 pm at the Farmersburg Westlawn Cemetery Chapel. A memorial service will begin at 2 pm following the visitation. Pastor Jeff Blansett will be officiating and Delta Theta Tau will be performing a short memorial tribute.
