Kara Dawn Brown, 42 of Terre Haute passed away May 18, 2018.  She was born in Shelbyville, Indiana to Dean Finchum and Beverly Sue Coward Finchum.  Kara was a 1994 graduate of Greencastle High School and was attending Ivy Tech College studying to be a nurse.  She loved to cook with her family and enjoyed vacationing in Panama City Beach, Florida.

She is survived by her parents; daughter Taylor Suzanne Brown, son Grant Alan Brown, and their father Eric Alan Brown;  brother Kyle Finchum of Brownsburg, and nephew Kyle Dean Finchum, Jr. of Greencastle.  Kara is preceded in death by her grandparents, Sylvia and Estal Finchum of Greencastle and Edith and Truman Coward of Brazil.
