Judith Ann Smith, 70 of Terre Haute, passed away at 1:07 PM on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born in Vigo County on October 30, 1944 to Thomas C. Layman and Gertrude Schafer Layman. Judith was a cake decorator at Walmart. She is survived by her daughter Tawnya Smith, and her son John Smith, Jr., and granddaughter Kelsey DeVanis. Also surviving is a sister, Sandra Maitlen, and niece Brenda Maitlen. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Smith, Sr. in 2006, and son Greg Lankford. Funeral services will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Bethesda Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at DeBaun Springhill Chapel.
