Josephine L. Turner Nickless passed away on September 28, 2013. She was born on April 16, 1919 to Charles A. Turner and Lona D. Turner. She graduated from Pimento High School in 1937. She attended Brown Business College. She worked in the office of Gillis Drug Co. for 5 years. In 1946 she left Gillis Drug Co. to work with her father in the bus business. Chas A. Turner, Wabash Valley Lines. After his death, she and her brothers continued the business, being co-owners of Turner Coaches, Inc. They sold out in 1982 to John R. Turner and Charles Beckwith. She married Stanton L. Meister in 1947 and he preceded her in death in 1979. In 1982 she married Harold R. Nickless, the love of her life. He preceded her in death in 1998. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sister June E. Kneller, and brothers Raymond K. Turner, Hubert A. Turner, Robert I. Turner, and David E. Turner. She is survived by her step-daughter Connie Loveall and husband Martin, step-son, Stephen Nickless and wife LeeAnn, 5 step-grandsons, Christopher Loveall, wife Michele, Craig Loveall, wife Mindy, Brad Nickless, Matthew Nickless, and Cody Nickless, 8 step-great grandchildren, 1 step great great grandchild, a special niece Sandy Keaton, her husband Terry, several nieces and nephews, 2 cousins, and a life-long friend of 74 years Moyne Marietta. She was a member of Faith Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed participating in the activities in the Son Shine Center at Maplewood Christian Church. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 2:00p.m. in Faith Wesleyan Church, 6751 S Carlisle St. Visitation will be at the church from 11:00a.m. until service time. Pastor Ray Austin will be officiating. Burial will be in New Harmony Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions her memory can be made to the Faith Wesleyan Church, or the Son Shine Center.
