Joseph C. Chrisman, 69 of Dennison, IL, passed away in his residence on Wednesday, August 16, 2017.  He was born in Terre Haute on October 17, 1947 to Andrew Chrisman and Rosemary Lawrence Chrisman.  Joseph was a retired carpenter and was a 30 plus year member of Carpenter's Local # 133.  He is survived by his wife Janice Bailey, and two daughters, Jennifer Chrisman and Melissa Chrisman (Rob Matherly).  Also surviving is his grandson, William Matherly, brother Patrick Chrisman (Tami), and sister, Rebecca Helmick (Jim), as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, David Chrisman.  In keeping with his wishes, cremation has been chosen with a private memorial service to be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Joe Chrisman Memorial Fund, established for his grandson William Matherly, C/O of First Financial Bank, in his memory.  Arrangements are under the direction of DeBaun Funeral Homes and Crematory.
