John A. Thompson, 75 of Terre Haute, passed away at 3:30 PM on Sunday, September 3, 2017 in his residence with his family by his side.  He was born in Terre Haute on June 28, 1942 to Joseph Thompson and Anna Watt Thompson.  John was a 1960 graduate of Honey Creek High School, and was owner of Springhill Frame, Inc. as well as being a driver for the Trash Man.  He is survived by two children, Rebecca Thompson Mullen and Jeffrey John Thompson.  Also surviving are two grandchildren, Genevieve Gayle Mullen and Olivia Grace Mullen, and his former spouse and good friend Brenda Church.  John was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Joseph Charles Thompson.  In keeping with his wishes, cremation has been chosen with a Celebration of Life Service to be held at Shelter "A" at Fowler Park on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 3:00 -7:00 PM.   The family would like to thank Dr. Ken Spicklemire and the staff at VNA Hospice of the Wabash Valley for the excellent care and compassion given to John.  Arrangements are under the direction of DeBaun Funeral Home and Crematory.
