Roshel Jr
Dr. John A. Roshel, Jr., 75 of Terre Haute, passed away at 4:45 AM on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Springhill Village. He was born in Terre Haute on April 7, 1941 to John A. Roshel, Sr. and Mary Griglione Roshel. Dr. Roshel was a retired orthodontist, having practiced for 47 years. He is survived by his wife Kathy Boyce Roshel, whom he married November 6, 1981, and children Dr. John A. Roshel III (& wife Jaime), Dr. James L. Roshel (& wife Susan), and Angela Roshel Conwell (& husband Tyson). Also surviving is his sister, Dr. Arlena Roshel, and seven grandchildren; Paiton Roshel, Orian Roshel, Maria Roshel, Anthony Breedlove, Jenna Breedlove, John Roshel IV "Rocco", and Marcus Roshel. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one grandson, Jay Alan Breedlove. Dr. Roshel was a 1959 graduate of Gerstmeyer High School, a 1962 graduate of ISU, graduated from the IU School of Dentistry in 1966, and the University of Michigan Orthodontist Program in 1968. His memberships include; the Western Indiana Dental Society, Indiana Dental Assoc., American Dental Assoc., Great Lakes Society of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists, Terre Haute Lions Club, Knights of Columbus, and the Country Club of Terre Haute. In addition, he was very proud of being a member of the 1955 Terre Haute Babe Ruth World Series Champions Team. Funeral services will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 11:00 AM, with Dr. Keith Gaddis officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM in the funeral home, and again on Thursday morning from 10:00 -11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Terre Haute Humane Society, 1811 S. Fruitridge Ave., Terre Haute, IN 47803, in his memory. The Roshel family would like to give a special "Thank You" to the staff of Springhill Village for their heart felt kindness and loving care during these difficult times.
