Joan Shaw, 78, of Cory passed away Wednesday August 15, 2018 at 2:25 am in her residence. She had worked for ISU, retiring in 2002. Joan was born January 12, 1940 in Terre Haute to Dewey Linnabary and Ruby (Spitler) Linnabary. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Reagin (Mark) of Cory; a son, Richard Shaw, II of Staunton; sisters, Alice Shaw and Linda Clemenz both of Sullivan; grandchildren, Brandon Shaw and Sunny Shaw; step-granddaughter, Kristi Timm; three great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and a step-grandson, Mark Dustin. Joan was a past member of the American Legion Post #104 Auxiliary; a life member of the V.F.W Post #972 Auxiliary. She enjoyed watching Butler Basketball, the Indianapolis Colts, especially Reggie Wayne, and NASCAR. She also liked to go camping. Joan was a fun loving lady who had a great sense of humor and loved her family very much. . Visitation will be Saturday August 18, 2018 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services on Sunday august 19, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Reverend Ron Bowen officiating.
