Joan Marie Curnick, 93, of Terre Haute passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.  She was born March 20, 1928 in Terre Haute to Ural Trueblood and Esther McClanahan Trueblood.  Joan graduated from Hymera High School in 1946.  She then attended Indiana State University graduating with a B.S. in 1950 and a Master's Degree in 1955.   Joan was an elementary school teacher for the Vigo County School Corporation.  After retiring from teaching she worked as an in home caregiver, working all over the country.  She enjoyed gardening, making quilts, knitting, and she was an excellent cook.

Joan is survived by sons Tim White and Charles White (Carolyn), step-daughters Debbie Heng, and Pam Gianos, grandchildren Bobby White, Danny White, Laura Boop, and Christina LaCivita, and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Curnick, son Dan White, and brother Dennis Trueblood.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Roselawn Chapel of Memories.  Chaplain Ken Coffman will be officiating.  The family would like to extend a thank you to Southern Car Hospice for the care and support they provided.  Online condolences may be made to www.debaunfuneralhomes.com.
