Jimmie Bob Keefer, 76, of Terre Haute passed away Thursday April 4, 2013 at 2:14 pm in Union Hospital. He was retired from Indiana State University. Jimmie was born December 16, 1936 Attica, IN to Robert Keefer and Delilah (Stevens) Keefer. He is survived by his wife, Betty (Alexander) Keefer; 2 sons, Rob Keefer and wife Donna of Cloverdale and Wally Keefer of Greenwood; sister, Carole Collins and husband Steven of Terre Haute; 2 step-sons, Chip Johnston and wife Stephanie of Terre Haute and Kevin Johnston of Terre Haute; 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Tommie Keefer. Jimmie was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the Illinois Chapter of the Cloven Hoofs MC and he was a great storyteller. Visitation is Monday April 8, 2013 from 4:00 until 7:00 pm in Callahan-DeBaun Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave. with military honors provided by Lawton-Byrum Post #972 VFW at 5:00 pm and funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm with Pastor Randy McPike officiating.
