Jerry Lynn Thompson, 72, of Farmersburg passed away Sunday September 27, 2020 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was a member of the Ironworkers Local 22 (formerly Local 439). He was born February 19, 1948 in Crawford County, Illinois to Burton M and Norma D (Padgett) Thompson. Jerry is survived by his wife Sharon (Bedwell) Thompson, whom he married January 1, 2000; daughter, Sheri Ploof (Steve); sons, Michael Thompson (Sherry) and Danny Thompson (Sandy); step-sons, Scott Miller (Crystal) and David Miller (Liz); several grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, Henry, Hazelynn, and Aleah. He was a US Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Shelburn American Legion. He was also a long-time member of both AA and NA. Visitation will be Thursday October 1, 2020 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services on Friday October 2, 2020 at 10:30 am in the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Lee officiating.
