Jerry Lee Hancock, 86, of Terre Haute, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025. He was born June 18, 1938, in Terre Haute to Reily Parker Hancock and Mary Maxine Willis Hancock. Jerry was a 1956 graduate of Gerstmeyer High School. He was an over-the-road trucker for many years and drove all over the United States. Jerry and Bonnie spent many years on the road together. They had a condo in Vero Beach, Florida, years ago.  From their balcony, they witnessed the Challenger explosion. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in West Terre Haute. Jerry was a big fan of the Reverend Jimmy Swaggart, enjoying his sermons and music.  Most of all, Jerry loved being with his beloved family.

Jerry is survived by his sister Nancy Smith, grandchildren Randy Hancock (Shana), Jessy Hancock (Josh), Shawn Kays (Amber Hancock), Mike Kays, Matt Kays, Richard Kays, Parker Hancock (Megan), Jerry Hancock (Christina), Kevin Hancock (Taylor), and Kaitlyn Hancock Trejo (Eduardo), and great-grandchildren Georgia, Shelby, Tristen, Zachary, Jerret, Landon, Mason, Reagan, Myla, Madelyn, Abigail, Dax, Kenzlee, Maylee, Lissandro, Lorenso, Eduardo, Jr., Fabian, and Rosalinda, and one great-great grandchild Ezra Nelson.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Bonnie Hancock, his children Cindy Kays, Richard Hancock, and Randall Hancock, who just passed away on June 8, 2025, and siblings Linda Cardin and David Hancock.

Services will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at DeBaun Springhill Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Randy Smith will officiate. Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to www.debaunfuneralhomes.com.
