Jerel Ray "Jerry" Boyll, 92, of Terre Haute passed away May 2, 2017 in Cobblestone Crossing Health Campus.
Jerry was born October 16, 1924 in Vigo County, Indiana to Grover Boyll and Letisia Sparks Boyll.
He was a mechanic for Lovelace Trucking and a farmer. He served in the United States Navy in World War II. Jerry was a member of Oregon Baptist Church and attended Clinton United Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of the Teamster Local, VFW 972 and American Legion Krietenstein Post #104.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patricia Tingley Boyll who passed away in 1987; his brother, Lester Boyll; and special uncle, Owen Boyll. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Hazel, Maryellen and Helen.
He is survived by his son, Jerel Boyll II and his wife, Janice; his daughters, Jana Norris and her husband, Terry, and Bobbi Boyll; his stepdaughters, Connie Maffioli and Vickie Ring and her husband, Don; his sister, Betty Harlan; and special friend, Frances Hagemeyer. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jonathan Norris, Teresa Dean, Joseph Boyll, Latisha Marinos, Whitney Walker, Frankie Maffioli, Brandon Brown, Laurie Monk and Raina Brown; several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 East Springhill Drive, Terre Haute, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Reverend Mark Olson will be officiating; burial will be in Hull Cemetery, with military honors. An escort to the cemetery will be provided by Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Indy Honor Flight Program.
