Jennie Suzanne Kindred, 73, of Terre Haute, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026. She was born on December 13, 1952, in Terre Haute to James Kindred and Joyce Alumbaugh Kindred.

Jennie enjoyed art, especially drawing and painting, singing, and traveling. She was extremely creative and imaginative—just two of the many qualities that made her the spectacular mother and Meme she was. When she wasn’t being silly, Jennie was busy caring for her husband of 39 years, Don, their two children, Sarah and Austin, her grandson, Jaxson, and grand-dog, Penny Lane.

Jennie was a very social person and, for nearly 40 years, met with the same group of friends for lunch every Wednesday. She loved her family, loved her friends like family, was always willing to listen, and never stopped looking for the positive in life.

Jennie is survived by her husband, Donald J. Mason; her children, Sarah Mason (Jessica) and Austin Mason; grandson, Jaxson Mason; stepsons, Donald J. Mason, Jr. (Stacey) and Jeremy Mason (Robin); sisters, Roslyn Brownfield (Floyd) and Rhonda Beck (Rick); brother, Jimmy Kindred; best friend, Vicki Morris (Rich); and grand-dog, Penny Lane. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Joyce Kindred.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Services will begin at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m., with burial to follow at Highland Lawn Cemetery.
