Jeanette Myrtle Clark, 95, of Terre Haute, went peacefully to be with the Lord on December 2, 2013, at 4:00p.m. She was born on October 23, 1918 to Oscar Hawkins and Elizabeth Matilda (Smith) Hawkins. Jeanette was a member of Terre Haute Friends Church for 50 years. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ. She loved children, and babysat for several families. Jeanette also worked as a cook for the Vigo County School Corporation. Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Loren Wayne Clark in 1992; her parents; infant daughter Sharon Rae Clark; brothers Harry Hawkins and Ralph Hawkins; and sister Ethel Mae Downey. She is survived by her children Nancy Fisher, her husband Harold, Tim Clark, and his wife Suzanne; granddaughter Beverly Fisher, her fiancé' Jack Denny; and great granddaughter Mya Denny. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday December 6, 2013 at 2:00p.m. in DeBaun Funeral Homes Springhill Chapel, 85 E Springhill Drive. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Rev. John Thompson will be officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00a.m. until service time. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Wabash Valley.
