Jayson Adam Spaulding, 9, of Terre Haute passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. He was born August 18, 2013 in Terre Haute to Justin Spaulding and Ashley Clutteur Spaulding. Jayson was a 3rd-grade student at Hoosier Prairie Elementary. He loved playing video games, going to the park with Grandpa, and had nearly every Nerf gun ever made. He enjoyed drawing and loved playing basketball. Jayson was so full of life and touched so many lives in his short nine years on this earth. His beautiful smile and dimples could make your bad day good again. Jayson was funny, loving, energetic, smart, and always lit up the room with his laughter and presence. He is survived by his loving parents Justin and Ashley Spaulding, maternal grandparents Stanley and Tammy Clutteur, paternal grandmother Bettie Spaulding, great-grandmother Ruth Glasgow, aunt Tonya Manning, uncle Adam Clutteur, his beloved dog Charlie, and best friend Darrian Link, as well as several great uncles and aunts, cousins, and friends. Jayson is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Michael Spaulding. Visitation will be held Monday, February 6, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at DeBaun Funeral Home located at 85 East Springhill Drive, Terre Haute.
