Jay Allen Chickadaunce, 51, passed away on May 11, 2021 in his residence that he had lived in on his own since 1991. He was born on November 14, 1969 in Terre Haute to Allen "Ed" Chickadaunce and Dianna (Smith) Chickadaunce. He is survived by his father, Allen "Ed" Chickadaunce (Bonnie), mother Dianna Williams, brothers Matt Chickadaunce (Tracy) of Sullivan and Jed Chickadaunce (Sarah) of Valparaiso, Indiana; Uncles, Mike Smith (Regina) of Urbana, Iowa and Jack Smith of Terre Haute; Aunts, Carolyn Johnson (Jerry) of Greenfield, Indiana and Suzanne Johnson of Champaign, Illinois; extended family Jon (Judy) Bolin and their children and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his stepfather, Mike Williams. Jay was a member of First Prairie creek Baptist Church and attended Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. He also spent many years at Happiness Bag. Visitation will be Thursday May 13, 2021 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services on Friday May 14, 2021 at 10:00 am in the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Dobson officiating. Burial will follow in Watson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to either Happiness Bag or First Prairie Creek Baptist Church in Jay's memory.
