Obituary

Janice Klingler, 96, passed away on March 2, 2021.  She was born in Clay City, IN to Ethel and Clyde Mills on August 19, 1924.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Max Klingler; her infant son, Michael; Brother Robert Mills; sisters Capitola Mills and Betty Blair, as well as her son-in-law John Hickey.  Janice is survived by her daughter Suzanne Hickey; grandchildren Bryce Hickey (Mary), Brooke Hickey (David Lewis); great-grandchildren Wyatt Hickey, Waylon Hickey, Ava Cash, Raegan Lewis, and Caleb Lewis.  In 1942 Janice graduated from Clay City High School, and then in 1946 Janice and her husband Kenneth Max Klingler were married.  Janice worked for the Treasury Department in Washington D.C. during World War II.  She then worked at the Indianapolis Airplane Parts Storage Depot during the war as well.  After making her way to Terre Haute, Janice found a job working at Quaker Maid in the personnel office.  She finished her working career at Neumode Fashions in Honey Creek Mall.  More than anything Janice loved her family and spending time with them.    At Janice's request she has chosen cremation with burial.  There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
