Janice Elaine Jones, 80, passed away in her home with her loving husband by her side on May 11, 2022. She was born on March 9, 1942 to Francis "Speed" Carlson and Vivian Kluesner Carlson.  Janice was preceded in death by her parents; son George H. Jones Jr. "Hank" and her great-grandson Ford Louis Gindhart.  She is survived by her husband George H. Jones Sr.; son Lance G. jones; daughter Saprenna Mills (Stuart); brother Charles "Chuck" Carlson (Carolyn); grandchildren Ashley Gindhart, Jeffery Gindhart (Chelsey), Shannon Mills (Evan White), Georgeena Mills, Brandy Jones, George "Gus" Jones, as well as a great-grandchild Eden Jones and many nieces and nephews.  Janice worked in customer service at Columbia House after graduating Otter Creek High School. She then worked in housekeeping at Westminster Village.  Janice was a Girl Scout Leader and a Brownie Troop Leader.  She enjoyed walking for Alzheimer's.  She once played in a bowling league down in KY.  Janice liked to mushroom hunt as well as cleaning.  She also enjoyed going down to the casino.  More than anything Janice loved being with family, especially with her grandchildren.  Visitation for Janice will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Monday, May 16 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with services starting at 1:00 PM.  Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
