Ms. Janey Leone Brooks, 75, of Terre Haute, IN passed away peacefully on Monday December 18th, 2023, at her residence.

Janey was born May 14, 1948, in Vanceburg, KY and was preceded in death by her parents, Virgie Blankenship and Thomas Blankenship II, as well as her three older siblings Ruth Swords, Gerald Swords, and Jimmy Blankenship.  She is survived by her children, Stacey Thacker, Mindy Clore, and Gregory Timmer; grandchildren Alexiah Brown, Jacob Thacker, Kamea Timmer, Ayden Thacker, Keaton Richardville, and Jordan Timmer; niece Nicole Blankenship.

Janey went to high school in Mansfield, OH and later took on the challenge of getting her GED.  She worked in retail for many years.  She had a tremendous love for music, animals of all kinds, plants, and nature in general.
