Janet E. Wesley, 86, of Pimento passed away Wednesday June 5, 2024 in Casey Healthcare Center. She retired in 1999 from Sears. Janet was born July 7, 1937 in Oaklandon, Indiana to Glen E. and Mary (Love) Stewart. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Wesley (San Dyer); sons, Bruce Wesley and Roger Wesley (Erica Pearson); brother, Byron Stewart and grandchildren, Jack and Miranda. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold D. Wesley, who died September 1, 2000; son, Brian Wesley and sisters, Donna Gosnell and Joan Taylor. Janet was a member of Prairie Creek First Baptist Church and was very active with the 14th and Chestneu Community Center. She loved to travel and took many trips with Turner Coach. She was involved in several lighthouse restoration projects and helped plant native grasses at the Grand Canyon. Visitation will be Tuesday June 11, 2024 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services starting at 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hull Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to either the 14th and Chestnut Community Center or the Terre Haute Humane Society.
