Janet R. Richey, 87, of Terre Haute died February 11, 2023 in Gibson Family Center for Hospice.  She was born March 3, 1935 to Arthur and Mary (Stone) Cooper in Greene County, Indiana.  Janet was also a homemaker.

Preceding her in death was her husband, David E. Richey, her son James David Richey, and her sisters Patricia Steed and Judy Jones.   She is survived by one son Terry Richey and three daughters, Janice VanVactor and her husband William, Connie Schimmel and her husband David, and Tina Taube and her husband Patrick.  She is also survived by a brother Virgil Cooper, 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2023 in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with Reverend Dennis Leek officiating.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. Wednesday until services.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.  Those who choose, may make a memorial contribution to Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care.  Online condolences can be made at www.debaunfuneralhomes.com.
