James R. Williams, 68, of Terre Haute passed away on April 17, 2018 in Union Hospital.  He was born on August 21, 1949 to Gilbert P. Williams and Delsephine Johnson Williams Bryant.  He was preceded in death by his mother.  James was a longtime member of the Terre Haute Moose Lodge # 1009, an avid golfer, and an Indiana University sports fan.  He is survived by his father Gilbert P. Williams, a step-son Scott Wellinger and his wife Christine of South Carolina, his sister Rita Downey, a niece Amber Downey, and three grandchildren, Cole, Jordan, and Lauren.  Honoring his wishes cremation with no services has been arranged by DeBaun Springhill Chapel.  For those who choose memorial contributions can be made to the Terre Haute Moose Lodge, Moosehaven, or Mooseheart.  Online condolences may be offered at www.debaunfuneralhomes.com
