James Strobel, 69, of Terre Haute passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital.
He was born August 9, 1947 in Terre Haute to Leonard Strobel and Jean Smith Strobel Pugh.
James was the owner of NGC Heating & Air and the owner of Fruitridge Banjos. He was a retired race car driver, a member of the NHRA and the Masonic Lodge #86 and he enjoyed playing and building banjos.
James was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Strobel and his wife, Jill of Bloomington and Matthew Strobel of Denver; his daughter Aimee Layton; his stepdaughter, Shelley Seymore and her husband, Scott, all of Terre Haute; and his wife, Sara Strobel. He is also survived by his brother, Charles Strobel and his wife, Peggy; a sister, Sarah Strobel; his aunt, Betty Cooprider; his twelve grandchildren and one great grandson.
