James Russell Shepard, 52, passed away at his home on October 24, 2020.  He was born on July 2, 1968 to John R. Shepard and Everita A. Scarbrough Shepard.  James is preceded in death by his mother.  He is survived by his father; sister Betty Shepard; brothers Everett Shepard (Wanda) and Max Shepard; several nieces and nephews, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  James was handyman; he always enjoyed doing odd jobs, especially for others.  More than anything he enjoyed mowing grass.  James collected Dale Earnhardt memorabilia and playing lottery tickets.  A celebration of life for James will be held at a later date.
