James (Jimmy) Montgomery, 55 of Terre Haute, In passed away unexpectedly in St Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis on February 16, 2019

He is survived by his wife Lori of 37 years. Three children, Lacy Montgomery(Landon), Jeremy Montgomery(Kristina) and Levi Garred, all of Terre Haute. Six Grandchildren, Destinie 16, Darrin 15, Lillian 13, Gunner 13, Kenzleigh 6 and Neveah 1. He left behind 5 brothers, Big Jim Montgomery(Marcia), George Montgomery(Rose), Prentice Montgomery, John Montgomery (Kathy), David Montgomery (Kristi) and sisters, Becki Brown, Debbie Montgomery, Maryann Bruce (Jeff), Denise Soliday(Lonnie)  and Tonya Montgomery. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, family and friends. He also left behind 3 Best friends, Bill Ashcraft, John Brantley and John Schooley He was preceded in death by his parents, James O and Marilyn Montgomery, a brother in law, Patrick (Pat) Brown, and a very special friend to the family, Vicki Ashcraft (Miss Vicki)

He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting , and hunting, because he always said he was "The Great White Hunter"!. He enjoyed his garden and loved to give away fresh produce to his friends and neighbors. He was always so proud of his "sunflower field". He always thought he was so "good looking" He used to say all the time, "I can't wait for tomorrow". And we would always say why, his response was always, "because I get better looking everyday"!

Visitation is Thursday February 21, 2019 from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services at 3:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in Prairieton Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.debaunfuneralhomes.com
