Obituary

James R. Breneman, Jr., 76, of Terre Haute passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his family.  He was born May 7, 1944 in Pocatello, Idaho to James R. Breneman and Vera Degregory Breneman.

Jim retired from CSX Railroad after working 40 years.  He also served his country in the United States Army.  Jim was an avid railroad enthusiast, model train collector, member of the Shepard Hills Case Knife Club, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 24 years, Brenda Crowley Breneman whom he married June 29, 1996; his children, Kevin Breneman, Corey Breneman (Chandra), George McAdams, Carrie Newport (John) , and Jacqueline Becker (Jesse); grandchildren, Breneman Becker, Ethan Becker, Nolan Becker, Makayla McAdams, Lillian McAdams, Jack Newport, Evan Newport, Lucy Newport, Devin Breneman and Bracey Breneman, great grandchild Kyler Becker; and brothers Jerry Breneman (Karen) and Dennis Breneman (Kit). Jim is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 10:00a.m. Reverend Mark Mundell will be officiating.  The family would like to express a sincere thank you to Heart to Heart Hospice for their care and support.
