Jim Bogle, 52, of Terre Haute passed away Thursday morning, October 10, 2013, at home after nearly a two-year fight with cancer. He was a Customer Account Manager at G.E. Aviation for over 20 years. Jim was born on November 9, 1960 to Bob and Veva "Cathy" Bogle. Survivors include his loving wife, Dianne (Jackson) Bogle, of 29 years and his three children: Maddy, Jacqualynn, and Nathan. Survivors also include: Vanta Black (sister), Michele McGuinness (sister), Jon Bogle (brother), nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by: parents, grandparents, and Ira Price (nephew). Jim resided in Terre Haute his whole life. He attended St. Ben's/ Fairbanks Schools, Sarah Scott, and was a 1979 Terre Haute South graduate. He was a member of the '77, '78, '79 State Finalist high school basketball teams. His wife was a Braves cheerleader, and so their romance began. He played college basketball on a full ride scholarship at Indiana Central. He graduated from Indiana State University with degrees in Business and Education. Jim loved sports especially coaching his children in sports and his son in tennis. Jim was gifted in the fields of math, business, and finance. He was a fantastic husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Jim was always helpful, ready with wise advice, and a loving, Christian man. Funeral visitation and service will be held at DeBaun Springhill on Sunday, October 13, 2013 1 to 5 pm with a funeral service at 5:00 pm. The burial ceremony will be Monday, October 14, 2013 at 11 am at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Terre Haute Junior Tennis Association (THJTA) in thanks to their generosity and support over all of the years. Checks can be mailed to the family at 7372 E. Beatrice Ct Terre Haute, IN 47802 and they will be forwarded to the non-profit THJTA. Donations can also be made at the funeral home.
