Jacob "Jake" Levi Thompson, 28 of Rosedale, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2016 in his residence. He was born in Terre Haute on February 8, 1988 to Randall A. Thompson and Amy L. Lofton Thompson. Jake was a 2006 graduate of Terre Haute North High School, received his Associate's degree from Ivy Tech, and was a Pipefitter/Welder for Local # 157. He is survived by his parents, Randall and Amy Thompson, his wife, Morgan West Thompson, his son Noah Thompson, and step-son Gage Price. Also surviving is his brother Timothy A. Thompson (wife Emily) and their daughters Faith and Audra, maternal grandparents Don and Nila Lofton, his dog Bella, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Robert and Hilda Thompson. Jake was an extremely giving person, and would "give the shirt off his back" to anyone, he loved his kids, and enjoyed trucks, hunting, fishing, and motorcycles. Funeral services will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Shan Smith officiating, with cremation to follow services. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM in DeBaun Springhill Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions can be given to a trust fund established for his son Noah Thompson, C/O First Financial Bank, in his memory.
