Jackie Dee Foltz of Terre Haute passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday August 31, 2015. He was born in Clinton, IN on September 26, 1927 to Nathanial Foltz and Helen Anetta (Denehie) Foltz. He served as a corporal in the US Army during WW II. Upon his honorable discharge, he received the World War II Victory Medal. Jack received numerous awards as a member of the Zorah Shrine. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite where he gave his time freely transporting children and their families to the Shriners Children's Hospital in St. Louis and Chicago. He was also a member of the Terre Haute Valley Masonic Lodge #19 and received the 50 year gold award in 2013. Jack had three brothers: Fred L., John F., and Morris E. "Gus", and three sisters, Louis A., Devorah "Marie", and Madge L. all of which are deceased. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn I. (Balduzzi) Foltz whom he married May 8, 1945 and she died in 1978. He is survived by his son, Dale A. and a daughter, Carol A. Reifsnyder, son-in-law, Rob Reifsnyder and a granddaughter, Laura. Jack's hobbies included reading, carpentry, travel and support of numerous fund-raisers for children. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him and remains in our thoughts as a wonderful father, a gentle Samaritan and a friend to all. A memorial service of remembrance will be Saturday September 5, 2015 at 1:00 pm in DeBaun Funeral Homes, Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Dr. with Pastor Jeff Lee officiating. There will be a Shrine Memorial Service conducted by the Zorah Shrine followed by the Wabash Valley Honor Guard who will be providing military honors.
