Born June 26, 1950 in Danville Illinois to Ermal Morris Swain and Juanita June Tislow Swain.  Jack was a 1968 Graduate of Washington High School.  He obtained his Associates Degree from Vincennes University in 1970, followed by this Bachelors Degree from Indiana state University in 1972.  Jack was previously employed by Hulman & Co for 23 years and Ford Dealerships in Terre Haute for 10 years.

He married Kathie Lynn Shattuck on April 24, 1976, who preceded him in death.  Jack and Kathie had one daughter, Michelle, who preceded them in death in 2015.

Surviving are two grandchildren Jaclyn (Jackie) Swain, Thomas, Kentucky and Jalen Swain, Terre Haute, and 2 Great-grandchildren, CJ and Bryson, as well as brother and sister in laws, and cousins.

Jack was an animal lover, so memorials can be made to Terre Haute Humane Society in his memory.

A graveside memorial service will be at the Dugger Cemetery at a later date.
