Jack Allen Nixon, 74, of Terre Haute, passed away at 4:17 PM on Thursday, April 11, 2013 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was born in Wellington, KS on September 18, 1938 to Emmett Nixon and Naida Mae Reathaford Nixon. He retired from IBM in Middle Management. Jack is survived by his wife of 18 years, Marlene L. Hilton Nixon, and two step-children, Shawn Mc Allister and Shannon Ford. Also surviving is one brother, William Nixon, and a nephew, Greg Nixon, and one niece, Dawn Nixon. He was a member of the Freedom From Religion Foundation, was very involved with the Mayo Clinic Cancer Research in Rochester, MN & he also had a fishing camp in Canada. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has been chosen and there are no services. Arrangements are under the direction of DeBaun Funeral Homes & Crematory. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to charity of your choice.
