Irineo Hernandez, 83, passed away on June 3, 2026. He was born on April 5, 1943, in Manilla, Philippines to Amado Hernandez and Romana Roxas Hernandez. Irineo was the eldest of six siblings. He graduated Cum Laude with his BS in Accounting from Jose Rizal University. After passing the board he became a Certified Public Accountant in the Philippines. He worked for various companies during his career including PT Dua Berlian (Sole distributor of SC Johnson products in Indonesia and the Cultural Center of the Philippines as the Concessions Manager. After retirement from the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Irineo worked as a free-lance Consultant Accountant until he moved to the US for good. He has been here for the last 20 years.

Irineo is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 58 years, Teodora Ledinia Hernandez, their children Ronnald Hernandez (Yvette), Eugene Hernandez (Jacqueline), and Romarie Cruz, grandchildren Ronald Nathan Hernandez, Erica Justin Hernandez, Jillian Eunice Hernandez, Earl Jared Hernandez, Sebastian Santino Cruz, and Jakobe Manuel Cruz, siblings Leodegario Hernandez, Olivia Hernandez, and Donato Hernandez (Mila). He was preceded in death by his parents Amado and Romana Hernandez, son in law Marnel Cruz, siblings Rebecca Hernandez and Asislo Hernandez, and sister-in-law Nelia Hernandez.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at St. Margaret Mary Church, located at 2405 South 7th Street, Terre Haute, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Mass will begin at the church at 2:00 p.m. Cremation will be entrusted to DeBaun Funeral Home following service.
