Irene McClure, 98, passed away on August 9, 2023. She was born on August 28, 1924 in Sullivan to Oral Hayden and Annetta (Chickadaunce) Hayden. Irene was married to Malcolm McClure. She was known for doing yard work and working on her crossword books. She also enjoyed sewing and quilting.

Irene is survived by her daughter Chris McClure, grandchildren Heather Brown and Wes Scarbrough, 5 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, both parents, daughter Nancy Pat Scarbrough, granddaughter Shenna Reynolds, and brother Jack Hayden.
