Henry Madley, 90, of Indianapolis, died September 6, 2024, in Terre Haute's Union Hospital. He was born on August 19, 1934, to Frank Madley and Frances Baraga in Indianapolis, Indiana. During his formative years, Henry attended Holy Trinity Church and School, prior to Washington High School in Indianapolis. He earned a business degree from Indiana University and IUPUI. Henry served in the U.S. Army in the late 1950's, where he was a member of the Big Red One 1st Infantry Division. He married Mary Ann Lutes and they had two children, Keith and Kevin. Henry worked for General Motors' Allison Division of Indianapolis for his entire career. He retired after more than 40 years of service. He spent roughly his first 25 years of retirement enjoying the west coast of Florida with Mary Ann. More recently they moved to Terre Haute, Indiana to be near family. Henry prioritized being a loving, reliable father, husband, and grandfather. Henry is survived by his wife, two sons, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings. No visitation or funeral services will be held at this time, per Henry's wishes. Interment will follow in the Court of the Apostles Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis.
