Harry “Bud” Jo French, 80, of Terre Haute passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Gibson Hospice. He was born on September 10, 1946, in Terre Haute to Harry R. French and Josephine M. Ring French. Bud was a NASCAR fanatic, enjoyed bowling, and was an avid bass fisherman. He loved working at the Terre Haute Action Track back in the day. Bud worked for Anderson’s Medical Supply for 30 years and he loved his co-workers. Harry “Bud” French was very organized and meticulous in his ways, with his home, and clothing. He also never lost a game of monopoly or rummy! Most of all Bud was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed beyond measure.

Bud is survived by his daughters Pamela French-Buchanan, Sally Pershing (Chuck), and Beverly French (David); grandchildren Felicia Kannmacher (Shane), Hilary Williams, Tanner Pershing, Alison Williams, and Maycie Smith (Timothy); great grandchildren Kinley, Harper, Hayden, Scarlett, Nova, Madelynn, Roman, Verity, Charlotte, and one on the way; brothers Larry French (Janice) and Raymond “Tom” French (Theresa), life long friend Rick Kelley, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, son in law Shane Buchanan, and brothers Carl “Dick” French and Jim French.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at DeBaun Funeral Home’s Banquet Room, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Cremation was entrusted to DeBaun Funeral Home.
