Gregg Everton Baxter, 82 of Eugene, IN passed away at his home on February 22, 2023.  He was born on December 13, 1940 to Robert E. Baxter and Ruth (Wright) Baxter.  Gregg was united in marriage to Kristin Ann (Farley) Bell on July 8, 1978. Gregg graduated from Veedersburg High School in 1959.  He was employed by Lauhoff, R.R.Donnely and Sunbeam Bread in his early years.  In 1991 Gregg and his wife, Kristy founded the Covered Bridge Restaurant in Eugene.  They were the proud owners for 20 years.  It was one of his greatest achievements. Gregg leaves behind his wife Kristy.  His son Eric Robert Baxter, Beth Ann Poynter (Mark), and Craig Mathieu Bell (Ryan).  His sister Susan Wilson (John) and step-brother Kim Maynard (Eva).  His grandchidren Taylor Kristin Poynter (Katie), Sydney Pearl Thomason (Scott), Jeremy Robert Baxter and great-grandson Chase Alan Thomason. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-mother Edie, his brother Jan Robert and his beloved dog, Rusty. Gregg enjoyed being outside.  Driving his tractor, golf cart and his Polaris Ranger with his dog Rusty by his side. Per Gregg's request there will be no services.
