Greg Andrew Puttmann, 58, of Terre Haute passed away suddenly on June 26, 2015 at 5:50 PM in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was co-owner of Terre Haute Wilbert Burial Vault Co. and served as a pastor in the Indiana Conference of the United Methodist Church. Greg was born September 29, 1956 in Vincennes, IN to Charles "Chuck" Puttmann and Emma Ann (Sexton) Puttmann. Those left to mourn his loss, include his loving wife, Julie (Connell) Puttmann, whom he married June 15, 2002; daughter, Kathleen E. Woods and her fiancée Keith Westley of Bay City, MI; son, Matthew J. Woods and his wife Elena Dues of Bay City, MI; brothers, Tim Puttmann of Terre Haute and Brian Puttmann and his wife Ann of Terre Haute; nephews, Christopher Puttmann of San Diego, CA and Matt Puttmann of Terre Haute; mother-in-law, Jeanne M. Connell of Bay City, MI; sisters-in-law, Barbara Timm and her husband Roger of Bloomfield Hills, MI and Anne Bentall and her husband Doug of Cummings, IA; brothers-in-law, Tom Connell of Brookings, OR and Bruce Connell and his fiancée Mary Jo Linda of Bay City, MI and several cousins. Greg was currently serving as the Pastor of Breden Memorial United Methodist Church and had previously served at Epworth United Methodist Church in Brazil, IN and Carbon United Methodist Church in Carbon, IN. He had also been a volunteer at the 14th and Chestnut Community Center and the Lighthouse Mission. Greg was a 1974 graduate of Terre Haute South Vigo High School. He was also a graduate of Indiana State University and was working toward his Masters of Divinity Degree at Asbury Theological Seminary, Wilmore, KY. Visitation will be Monday, June 29, 2015 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at DeBaun Funeral Homes, Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Dr. with funeral services on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 10:00 am at United Methodist Temple with Pastors W. Kevin Drane and Steve Rundel officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Breden Memorial United Methodist Church, United Methodist Temple, or the charity of one's choice.
