Geraldine Thomson Liffick, 96, of Terre Haute passed away Wednesday December 18, 2019 in Springhill Village. She was retired from Sears and Roebuck. She was born August 14, 1923 in Shelburn to Hosea Emerson and Gladys (Criss) Thomson. She is survived by sons, Brant Leon Liffick (Jeanne) and Ernest Liffick (Sheri); granddaughter, Shelley Ike; great-grandchildren, Debra Arbuckle (Michael), Lisa Brinston (Eulis), Ashley Sambyal, Kayla Hoogenboom (Aaron), Yvonna Pickett (Jonathon), Anthony Powell, Devonte Powell, Trevon Frazier, Deangelo Frazier, Deandre Frazierm and Krystal Kennedy; 15 great great-grandchildren; one great great great-grandson; a sister, Jeanette Carney and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Liffick, who died November 21, 1994; a daughter, Diana "June" Swisher; a son, Terry Liffick; granddaughters, Kelly Kennedy and Tonya Liffick; three brothers, three sisters and a special friend Daryl Scamihorn. She was a member of First Prairie Creek Baptist church. Visitation will be Saturday December 21, 2019 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services on Sunday December 22, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Dobson officiating. Burial will be in Pogue Cemetery. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Prairie Creek Baptist Church.
