George T. Sankey Jr, 64, passed away on February 25, 2020 in his home.  He was born on January 17, 1956 to George Sankey Sr and Shirley Carter-Sankey.  He is preceded in death by his mother.  Surviving George is his father; wife Judith Sankey; sons, Shane Sankey (Jamie), Josh Sankey (Cristy), and Shawn Ellis (Correna); daughters Lesley Sankey (Justin), Ashley Sparenberg (Chris), Amelia Eldrege (Ruby), Autumn Long (Sam Holland); brother Jeffrey Sankey (Margaret); grandchildren Trinity, Kayla, Kylie, Karah, Anna, and Logan Sankey, Toby, Cameron, Annika, and Lucas Ellis, and Avery, Hannah, and Morgan Sparenberg; Nieces Kelby (John Ellis), Kalyn, and Kate Sankey; as well as several cousins.  George was a member of the Masonic Lodge Riley 390, and the Riley American Legion 327. He served his country with The United States Marine Corp. George was a hard worker, he enjoyed coaching his kid's sports teams and being a part of 4-H. He loved hanging out with friends at the Pilot Gas Station early mornings.  Visitation for George will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Sunday, March 1st from 4-8 PM and again on Monday, March 2nd from 10:00-11:00 AM with Masonic Services by Riley Lodge #390 F. & A.M. starting at 11:00 am followed by funeral services.  Burial will be in  Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
