George James Fichter, 72, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 surround by his loved ones in his home. He was born to George Fichter and Theresa (Marze) Fichter on January 3, 1954 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. George worked as a photographer and later as a furniture technician.

His family was his number one priority, always. Making memories with his family was George’s favorite thing to do. He enjoyed making up silly stories for his grandchildren. George was a rock and a hero to his children; often not realizing how much he meant to them.

In his free time, George enjoyed fishing and hiking. He was also a huge fan of anything paranormal and had no fears. George loved rock music. He had a passion for photography and when he saw that his daughter, Kasarah, had an eye for it, he taught her everything he could about it. George supported the Military and would often buy them meals if he saw them out dining.

George never took crap from anyone and defended his family the same way. He would always tell his children, “always have your family’s back and laugh in the face of diversity and conquer”.

George is preceded in death by both of his parents.

George is survived by his son, Joel Fichter (CC); daughters, Kasarah Lutz (Josh), Jennifer Fichter, Janae, and Jordan; sister, Cindy Reynolds (Bruce); and grandchildren, Xavier, Lavaeh, Myla, Lailiana, Malayla, Freya, Gabriel, Josh, Braydan, Grayson, Jayden, Braxton, Dylan, Alex, Ananda, and Sylvana.
