George J. Custer, Sr., 71, of Terre Haute passed away August 26, 2023 at home surrounded by family. He was born June 14, 1952 in Terre Haute to Jack and Martha (Edwards) Custer. He was preceded in death by both parents; his wife of 46 years, Theresa Kay Custer; his brothers, Jack Custer, Harry Custer, and Mike Custer and his sister Sissy Custer. George is survived by his sons, George Custer, Jr. (Kimberly) and Harry Custer; daughter, Michele Roberts (Donn); grandchildren, Brittany (Dandre), Shawn, Jerry, Lisa, Mikala, Zachary, Logan, and Brayton; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Carson, and Curtis and his sisters-in-law, Rickie Steele and Stacey Conwell-Custer were there by his side. George loved spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, fishing on the river and working on his big truck. No services are scheduled per George's wishes.
