Gene A. Francis, 77, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023. He was born January 19, 1946 to Millard E. and Delores (McClanahan) Francis. Gene married Janice E. (Sandberg) Francis in 1967. They had a son, Mick A. Francis. Mick married Heather (Hopewell) Francis. He is survived by a son, granddaughter Riley Paige Francis, sister Karen (Francis) Headricks, niece Teresa Bucke, nephew Mark A. Daugherty, and special friends Norma J. Hensley, Adam and Leslie Cottrell, Robert Caton family, and several cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Samuel S. and Elsie (Blockinger) Francis and Joseph and Elsie (Mars) McClanahan. Gene was a lifetime member of the Wabash Valley Fair Association, 50 year member of the Pimento Masonic Lodge #292, and member of the Wabash Valley Horsemen's Association. Visitation will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a service following at 7:00 pm at the funeral home with Reverend Norris Keirn.
